Meet Dr. Conner
Dr. Conner was raised in northeastern Ohio and completed his bachelor’s degree and DDS from The Ohio State University. During dental school he was accepted into the United States Air Force scholarship program. His first assignment in the USAF was at Sheppard AFB Texas where he completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. Dr. Conner served as a general dentist for five years while stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany and Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota.
Dr. Conner completed Oral and Maxillofacial surgical residency training at the University of Oklahoma in 2008 and returned to Sheppard AFB serving as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2010, he returned to Ramstein AB and served as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery treating wounded warriors serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Conner is board certified achieving Diplomate status from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, and currently serves as an officer in the Charlottesville-Albemarle Dental Society. He has lectured to civilian and military organizations including the West German Dental Society and the European Regional Medical Command. He holds hospital privileges at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. He is passionate in providing a warmhearted environment for anxious patients of all ages, especially with children who may be experiencing their initial surgical procedure. His professional interests include extractions, implants, orthognathic surgery, trauma, and pathology.
Dr. Conner and his wife are devoted to aiding neglected animals and often hike locally with their two large rescue dogs Griffin and Owens. Dr. Conner is an avid runner and enjoys participating in charitable events across central Virginia. He enjoys the rich history that Charlottesville and Virginia have to offer.
